Scooto grows 550% in 2021
The startup began the year with 20 service providers and will end it with more than 125
Bahia, Ceará, Goiás, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Paraná are some of the states where the Scooteiras, the nickname given to the women who work at Scooto, work. “In January 2021, there were only 20 of us, and we will end the year with 125 women working for our clients remotely all over Brazil. This is the metric that signals our success this year,” says Gabriela Ioshimoto, Scooto’s Chief People Officer (CPO).
The main indicator of growth is the hiring of women. Scooteiras are currently the startup’s biggest asset. Since 2017, the company has been working to promote financial autonomy in the lives of women who are qualified to work, but who, for adverse reasons, find themselves out of the market.
The 550% growth is also reflected in revenue, since the startup is at break-even point and has a turnover of close to R$4 million, with a portfolio of 59 clients this year. The services offered are pre-sales, sales and customer support, all with Scooto’s trademark: humanization and qualified professionals to develop the work strategically.
“The results show us that we have a lot of market share to conquer. Today, we work with an internal team that guarantees professional and, consequently, personal improvement, so that each Scooteira can adapt to the demands of each client,” says Marina Vaz, CEO of Scooto.
Created in 2017, the 100% officeless contact center also participated in the Startup Awards 2021 in the Social Impact category and was among the 10 nominated by the public to compete in the final of the award. Promoted by the Brazilian Startup Association, the Startup Awards honor the most important players of the year in the Brazilian startup and innovation ecosystem.
